A man was arrested in connection to two suitcases containing human remains found on and near the Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol, 115 miles west of London.

The suitcases were found Thursday, with one bag on the bridge and another nearby, per the Avon and Somerset Police. The authorities had a suspect, a man who rode a taxi from London to the bridge.

Early on Saturday, Avon and Somerset Police arrested the 34-year-old man in Bristol, and he was sent to London for further questioning, the Metropolitan Police Service said.

The victims found in the suitcases also haven’t been named publicly, but they’re believed to be two adult men, the Avon and Somerset Police said.

“We understand the concerns of local communities in both Bristol and London, and officers will remain in the Clifton and Shepherd’s Bush areas over the coming days to reassure those affected by this tragic incident,” Metropolitan Police Deputy Assistant Commissioner Andy Valentine said in a statement.

The Clifton Bridge was opened to traffic in 1864 and was built from a design by the famous Victorian-era engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel.
