The Black Eyed Peas’ residency at Planet Hollywood Las Vegas for later this year has been canceled. The group cited “current circumstances.”
“To our dearest Peabodies, It is with a heavy heart that, in light of current circumstances, our Las Vegas shows will not be moving forward as planned. Ticket providers will issue full refunds automatically,” the pop group wrote in a since-expired Instagram post Sunday, according to multiple outlets.
The “Black Eyed Peas: 3008 the Las Vegas Experience” concerts were scheduled for Feb. 15, 16, 19, 21 and 22, March 21, 22, 26, 28 and 29, and May 24, 25, 28, 30 and 31.
The group didn’t specify what it meant by “current circumstances.” The shows were suffering from soft ticket sales, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
The concerts were to be the group’s first residency in Las Vegas.
“Our first residency in Las Vegas gives Black Eyed Peas the opportunity to do what we do best, to dream up something brand new and creative that pushes the boundaries of the live show experience. We draw inspiration from Disney rides, Las Vegas shows, concerts, AI and technology,” band member Will.i.am said in a Caesars Entertainment release announcing the shows last year.
