President Biden on Wednesday met with Israeli first responders who rushed to save lives after the deadly Hamas terror attack.

During the meeting in Tel Aviv, Mr. Biden reiterated his unwavering support for Israel in their war against Hamas.

“You don’t have to be a Jew to be a Zionist,” he said, adding that Israel is a “nation that is united, yes, in grief, but also united in resolve.”

Among the first responders was a woman who saved people in her kibbutz. After listening to her story, Mr. Biden hugged her.

“God, love ya,” he said.

The meeting with first responders was part of Mr. Biden’s day-long trip to Israel to express U.S. support for the Jewish state, which is still reeling from the Oct. 7 Hamas attack that killed at least 1,400 people in Israel.

Mr. Biden met with Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu earlier Wednesday and also talked with members of Israel’s war cabinet. He also plans to meet with victims of the terror attack.
