The Biden campaign on Friday blasted former President Trump’s post-conviction remarks, saying the speech underscored why he shouldn’t win the election in November because he’s “desperate” and “unhinged.”

“America just witnessed a confused, desperate and defeated Donald Trump ramble about his own personal grievances and lies about the American justice system, leaving anyone watching with one obvious conclusion: This man cannot be president of the United States,” said Michael Tyler, communications director for the Biden-Harris campaign. 

Mr. Tyler said the presumptive GOP nominee’s speech from Trump Tower in Manhattan showed that he is “unhinged by his 2020 election loss and spiraling from his criminal convictions.”

“Trump is consumed by his own thirst for revenge and retribution,” the spokesman said.

The Biden campaign’s remarks came hours after Mr. Trump railed against the outcome of his hush money trial, with the jury finding him guilty of falsifying business records. He also tore into the judge overseeing the case, referring to him as “a devil.”
