NextImg:Actor-comedian Rob Schneider boycotts Olympics after Opening Ceremony ‘openly celebrates Satan’

The opening ceremonies of the Paris Olympics were no laughing matter to “Saturday Night Live” alumnus Rob Schneider.

The actor-comedian has become the latest conservative to dump the games over an Opening Ceremony widely derided as blasphemous.

“I am sorry to say to all the world’s greatest athletes, I wish you all the best, but I cannot watch an Olympics that disrespects Christianity and openly celebrates Satan,” he wrote on social media this week.

The former “Saturday Night Live” star joined a growing backlash against a drag-queen scene during the parade that the committee had said was inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s “The Last Supper,” a famous painting of Jesus and His apostles.

In a true knife twist, Mr. Schneider wished on the Olympics the same level of interest as budgetary-markup hearings of the House Ways and Means Committee.

“I sincerely hope THESE @Olympics get the same amount of viewers as @cspan,” he wrote.

In a separate post, Mr. Schneider went into comedian mode and mocked a moment in the tableaux in which a near-naked male, with his body painted blue, clambered onto a table in front of the drag queens during a dance that included child performers.

“Guys with their genitalia hanging out in front of children?! Drag Queens?! I wasn’t sure if I was watching the @Olympics or if I was watching a school board meeting,” he wrote.
