Three students were killed and the suspected gunman is dead following a school shooting Monday in Nashville, Tennessee.

The shooting took place at the Covenant School, a part of the Covenant Presbyterian Church, in the city’s Green Hills neighborhood, according to local NBC affiliate WSMV-TV.

The Vanderbilt University Medical Center confirmed to the station that three students were killed.

Nashville police said in a tweet that “the shooter was engaged by MNPD and is dead.”
