The exploitation of children by left-wing activists is always grotesque, but the worst of it is how children are being convinced they should pursue sex changes and be used as political vessels to force the government to allow it.
Such is the case in North Carolina, where a 9-year-old child is being used as the crux of a lawsuit against the state for correctly banning sex change surgeries and procedures for children. According to the lawsuit, which is being pushed by the child’s parents and transgender activists, the child “knew from a very young age that his gender identity did not match his sex assigned at birth, and he generally lives as the boy he is in every aspect of life. However, with his puberty approaching, Victor will soon need medical care that is prohibited by the Health Care Ban.”

Victor, of course, is a girl. The idea that this girl “knew from a very young age that his gender identity did not match his sex assigned at birth” is nonsense. Nine-year-olds do not have the mental capacity to decide that they are the wrong sex and that they want permanent chemical and surgical alterations that will disfigure their body. And children “from a very young age” compared to the age of nine? No way.
There is also no such thing as “sex assigned at birth.” It is activist propaganda designed to make treating a mental disorder with permanent disfigurement seem like a normal thing and not an affront to basic human biology and the well-being of gender-confused children like “Victor.” It is anti-science, unethical, dangerous nonsense being wielded by people who are either stunningly ignorant as to what sex changes for children do to those children’s bodies or who are callously indifferent and content to exploit children like Victor. They do so to perpetuate their anti-science worldview that biological sex can be changed with some hormones and surgeries.
Nine-year-old children are not “transgender,” nor do they even have the mental capacity to make that decision. They and their families are being manipulated by activists, social media, and medical “professionals” who prioritize ideology over ethics and are being pushed down an irreversible road that will cause them permanent medical problems. Children like Victor will have their futures sacrificed to feed an incoherent gender ideology that sees them as nothing more than pawns to wield against institutions such as, for example, the North Carolina legislature.
