Rachel Minaya, the wife of Omar Minaya, the former New York Mets general manager and current New York Yankees executive, was found dead at their New Jersey home on Saturday, according to the New York Post. She was 55.

Omar Minaya was not home at the time of his wife’s death, and suicide has been ruled out as a cause of death, according to the report.

The Minayas have two adult sons, Justin and Teddy. Justin Minaya plays for the NBA’s Portland Trail Blazers as a forward and is amid a summer league season. Omar and Rachel Minaya met in 1989 and got engaged within a year.

Omar Minaya, 65, served as general manager for the Mets from 2004 to 2010 and for the Montreal Expos, now the Washington Nationals, from 2002 to 2004. He is known for his scouting acumen.

He’s also known for the $100 million-plus signing of Carlos Beltran, a multi-time MLB All-Star outfielder, by the Mets.

The Yankees held a moment of silence for Rachel Minaya before Monday’s game against the Tampa Bay Rays.

“Prior to today’s game, we held a moment of silence to mourn the loss of Rachel Minaya, the beloved wife of Yankees Senior Advisor of Baseball Operations Omar Minaya, and the devoted mother to Teddy and Justin Minaya,” the organization said in a statement. “We send our deepest condolences to Rachel’s family and friends during this time.”
