


At least two suspects died Friday after the man they tried to rob at a San Antonio bank pulled out a firearm and shot them.
The incident occurred around noon when the man was attempting to withdraw money at a drive-thru ATM, according to the San Antonio Police Department.

Two men approached the man and attempted to rob him, but the would-be victim brandished a firearm and shot the suspects, Chief William McManus said.
"Two suspects approach him, try to rob him," McManus said. "He shoots at them, kills both."
Everyone involved in the shooting appeared to be in their 20s, according to McManus.

"There is no danger to the public," he said. "This was a robbery that did not go well for the robbers."
The would-be victim was interviewed by police, and an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
