President Donald Trump received messages of gratitude and praise from world leaders on Monday for successfully negotiating with Hamas to release its Israeli hostages.

Every living Israeli hostage was freed Monday after Hamas agreed to Trump’s plan for peace. The 20 hostages are survivors of Hamas’s Oct. 7, 2023, terrorist attack on Israel.

Praise from Trump allies

In a speech to the Knesset attended by Trump, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described Trump as the “greatest friend the state of Israel has ever had in the White House.”

“You are committed to this peace. I am committed to this peace,” Netanyahu said Monday. “Together, Mr. President, we will achieve this peace.”

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban attended the peace summit in Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt, where the peace agreement signing took place, claiming he was invited by Trump.

“President @realDonaldTrump has done it again!” Orban wrote. “A tremendous achievement. President Trump has made it happen, and if we do not fall for the pro-war siren calls, he will get it done in Ukraine as well. We must give him all the support he needs for that.”

Praise from leaders recognizing Palestinian statehood

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who welcomed Trump to the United Kingdom last month, repeated his praise for the plan on Monday.

“I reiterate my thanks for the tireless diplomatic efforts of the United States, Egypt, Qatar and Turkey. It is now crucial that we work together to implement President Trump’s peace plan for Gaza, and that will be my focus in Egypt today,” Starmer wrote.

“Commitment to this plan from all parties will be essential to ending the war and building the foundations for a sustainable path to a long-term peace. The U.K. will support the crucial next stage of talks to ensure the implementation of the peace plan,” Starmer added.

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney posted his statement on his website.

“Canada commends President Trump’s essential leadership in advancing a comprehensive peace plan. It is vital that the parties continue to engage constructively to achieve a sustainable and lasting peace agreement, as stipulated in the U.S. plan,” Carney wrote.

“This includes establishing transitional governance for Gaza and pursuing a permanent political solution that ensures peaceful coexistence for Israelis and Palestinians. Hamas must disarm and play no role in the future governance of a demilitarised Palestinian state,” Carney added.

French President Emmanuel Macron also traveled to the peace summit. Just before boarding the plane, Macron did not mention Trump. However, hours before, Macron expressed France’s support for Trump.

“France will be involved in every stage of President Trump’s plan, alongside the Arab partners it helped mobilize,” Macron wrote. “But for now, let there be joy.”

Praise from leaders of states in conflict

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi also benefited from negotiations with Trump earlier this year that stopped a conflict between India and Pakistan.

“We welcome the release of all the hostages after more than two years of captivity. Their freedom is a testament to the courage of their families, to President Trump’s uncompromising efforts for peace, and to Prime Minister Netanyahu’s determination,” Modi wrote. “We support President Trump’s sincere efforts to bring peace to the region.”

Another world leader in negotiations with Trump to end international conflict is Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Zelensky said the peace agreement between Hamas and Israel “brings more hope for peace in other regions where life is still under threat.”

“In Ukraine, we welcome all the efforts that have led to today’s outcome for the Middle East. The hostages have been freed, and the war in Gaza is coming to an end. This is truly an extraordinary event,” Zelensky wrote.

“The leadership and determination of President Trump have worked, and it is important that all the necessary help has come from countries and many people who have real influence. We are working so that the day of peace comes for Ukraine as well,” Zelensky added.

TRUMP TRIUMPH IS BAD NEWS FOR HIS ADVERSARIES

Other members of the Trump administration who were involved in negotiations included Secretary of State Marco Rubio, special envoy Steve Witkoff, Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, and U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee. All four joined Trump in his travels in the Middle East on Monday.
