An Illinois woman believed to have been kidnapped after meeting a man off of a dating app was found Monday after she sought help in a local auto shop, authorities said.
The woman, whose identity has not been confirmed, entered the Advanced Auto Parts store in Dolton, Illinois, Sunday around 5:00 p.m. seeking help, according to a report.

"She was being held against her will," Dolton Police Chief Robert Collins said. "She met a man on some kind of dating app. The clerk also stated he could see visible bruises on her, injuries and appeared to be a little distraught,"
Both the woman and her suspected kidnapper entered the auto shop, with the woman entering first, according to the report.
"They tried to stall as long as they could while they called police, but he became impatient and took her out of the store," Collins said.
The vehicle used by the pair was found by authorities Monday, and a critical alert was sent out to locate the man and woman. Police released pictures of the pair to local law enforcement agencies, and the FBI assisted in the search, the report noted.
