Throughout the 2016 election cycle, the Clinton campaign reminded the country of the history-making element of Hillary Clinton’s pursuit of the presidency. In the eight years since her failed bid, a lot has changed, but the brand-new Harris campaign is sure to bring back to the forefront the absurd idea that women must vote a woman into power.
It is clear the Democratic Party and Clinton feel robbed. With Vice President Kamala Harris now at the top of the ticket, righting that so-called wrong is a major theme.
Harris’s rise to this level of prominence has not taken a traditional path. She suspended her own presidential campaign in December 2019, less than a year after it began, citing a lack of funds.
Now, Harris is the sole hope for the Left as Democrats aim to keep the 45th president from winning a second term. After several years on the job as vice president, Harris is a Democratic star. But her popularity has nothing to do with success. She’s done nothing of value. Instead, desperation is driving Democrats to view her as the one who will “take back the country.” In reality, she failed forward after being handed the vice presidency in large part due to her biology. The highest office in the land should not be her further reward.
More than 100 years ago, the 19th Amendment recognized women’s right to vote. Voting is a privilege, and neither Clinton nor Harris deserves support from female voters simply because they are women. To suggest such a thing is nothing short of sexism.
Yet Shannon Watts, founder of the gun control group Moms Demand Action, posted on X: “Time to organize a white women conference call like the Black women and men have to support Vice President Kamala Harris. Who’s in?”
Likewise, historian Rebecca Fachner posted, “Fellow white ladies. Get over it. Whatever it is, get past it right now. We’re gonna elect a black woman president and I promise you it’s gonna be amazing. Get on board, no reservations.”
Combined, these posts have millions of online impressions. Apparently, women must get in line and vote for Harris all because we share XX chromosomes. If anything is offensive, it’s that.
Harris’s history as a prosecutor, attorney general of California, senator for California, and vice president shows a rule-bending authoritarian open to packing the Supreme Court, an inactive border czar, and a liberal of the highest order who is more radical than President Joe Biden in many areas, including abortion. A Harris presidency would be worse than the last four years. And even though Democrats continue to struggle, Republicans can’t get comfortable with expecting former President Donald Trump to win against his new opponent.
In the eyes of conservative women, Democrats’ presumptive presidential nominee fails the test. Harris does not represent women on the Right in any way. Her status as a fellow female doesn’t endear her to us. While women on the Left may see Harris’s womanhood as a qualification, it doesn’t even make our list. And that’s how it should be. Leftists enjoy railing against those who treat women as if they don’t use their brains. Meanwhile, the same individuals are quick to tell women that shared biology demands some sort of political loyalty.

The cringe-worthy 2016 “Fight Song” that showcased celebrities singing in support of Clinton included this line: “We living in history / America, take a bow / We about to show the world, yeah, women are equal now.”
Women in America are not oppressed just because Clinton lost, and conservative women won’t support Harris. It just means Democrats aren’t paying attention.
