The ability to purchase one's groceries at Whole Foods will soon be in the palm of one's hand before the year is out.
Whole Foods, which is owned by Amazon, will make this feature available to all of its locations across the United States by the end of 2023. This feature, called Amazon One, will allow customers to scan their hands to purchase their groceries without using a credit card or cash.

Beyond simply paying for groceries, Amazon One will also allow customers to access whatever loyalty programs they have. Partnerships that Amazon One has include American Express, Discover, MasterCard, and Visa, along with multiple banks in the U.S.

This feature is already available at several Whole Foods locations in different states, such as Texas, Mississippi, and New York. However, Amazon's plan is to make this feature available in Whole Foods locations nationwide before the year is out.

The feature is also available at Amazon Fresh, another grocery outlet that Amazon owns. Like with Whole Foods, customers can opt to use cash or credit cards if they do not want to use Amazon One.
Amazon One is also available at other places not owned by Amazon, such as Panera and even the Coors Field stadium in Denver, Colorado.
