“There’s not going to be a President Trump.”
This genius political insight was offered by political sage George Timothy Clooney, a little over eight years ago.
It’s just one of the many things Clooney has been wrong about during his time in the public eye. However, apparently, being correct, accurate, or knowledgeable is not a requirement for writing an op-ed for the once-prestigious New York Times. In an op-ed for the outlet, published Wednesday, he called for Democrats to move on from President Joe Biden.
So? Who cares?
Did I somehow miss the moment in society when Clooney became anything other than a thespian who is handsomely rewarded for pretending to be something he is not? Did I miss the part where he became a great political mind or philosophical thinker?
Who the heck cares what Clooney thinks about presidential candidates?
Look no further than when he portrayed the character of a Biden-loving person and threw him a lavish fundraiser whose donors probably made enough money combined to solve world hunger. Yet instead, he decided to give it to a senile, fragile, phony, perpetual fraud and conman, who has done nothing but lie and deceive for half a century in politics, masquerading as a decent man running for president.
Within a month, Clooney, again, who makes millions of dollars for pretending to be someone he is not, kept telling people how great a person and president Biden was, only to flip on him when he needed Clooney’s support most. Yet, Clooney is the hero Democrats turned to? The same Democrats who paraded Biden around as a well-established statesman who saved democracy a little over two weeks ago? The same Democrats who were outraged over videos that showed Biden acting old and senile, even going so far as to call them deep fakes?
It’s a shame Clooney never appeared as an iceberg watcher in Titanic because, given his reliability on all things political, it would have been the perfect role for him.
Furthermore, aside from being an actor, a profession in which even the most objective critics wouldn’t list him as one of the best — including, by the way, the New York Times — Clooney has also demonstrated he doesn’t have any particularly strong political acumen. He isn’t particularly intelligent, nor does he have any stellar academic accomplishments. In fact, by all accounts of his life, it seems Clooney didn’t even graduate college. Quite frankly, he doesn’t have the credentials or academic background of the people who typically appear in the New York Times. He’s an entertainer. That’s it. Nothing more.
The fact that Clooney wrote such a piece, or, more likely, was asked by Democratic elitists to write such a piece, is indicative of how pathetically desperate the Democrats are at the moment. Moreover, in addition to all the left-wing, Democratic deceit and dishonesty, especially during the years Biden has been president, it should be noted that in this time of political disarray, Democrats turned to a wealthy, old white man, the very thing they spent the better half of the 21st-century vilifying, to help save them.
So why should or would anyone take anything Clooney says or writes to heart, act as if it is of any importance or an example of some astonishing intellect? Clooney’s op-ed is nothing more than a deplorable — pun intended — attempt at propaganda and voter manipulation. It’s the “bread and circuses” for the wealthy, affluent, powerful, and influential left-wing crowd. He’s a facade of wealth and influence.

When it comes down to it, Clooney is nothing more than someone paid well, very well, to deceive the masses. In that way, he fits in perfectly with the Democratic elite. Yet, it still doesn’t mean his opinion is of particular importance.
So, again, who the heck cares what George Clooney thinks?
