The White House is not having House Republican complaints that President Joe Biden and his aides are failing to cooperate with the GOP's impeachment inquiry into corruption allegations against him and his family.

In a memo on Friday, White House oversight and investigations spokesman Ian Sams slammed Republicans for spending the year looking into Biden without uncovering any evidence of wrongdoing.

"Faced with this level of 'failure theater,' these same extreme House Republicans now appear to be trying to invent claims of 'obstruction' and 'stonewalling' to rationalize their illegitimate so-called 'impeachment inquiry,'" he wrote. "Some House Republicans are even leaning on these false claims as a predicate to vote to formally authorize such an inquiry. The problem: Claims of 'obstruction' and 'stonewalling' are easily refuted by the facts."

Sams also underscored House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) telling Fox Business he has received “100% of what we’ve requested,” adding on Benny Johnson's podcast, “We’re in the downhill phase of this investigation now because we have so many documents.”

Sams's memo goes on to enumerate how Comer's committee has had access to 35,000 pages of private financial records, 2,000 pages of Treasury Department financial reports, and 36 hours of witness interviews and testimony, as well as thousands of pieces of vice presidential material from the National Archives.

"For months, the White House has sent letters to Comer and Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan offering to meet or talk further about informational needs, yet Comer and Jordan have repeatedly refused to engage," he wrote. "Additionally, some House Republicans this week have pointed to a notable offer for public testimony by the president’s son, Hunter, as somehow an example of 'stonewalling.'"

Sams's memo coincides with House Republicans' meeting Friday for an update on the impeachment inquiry and to decide whether to vote to authorize the proceedings. It dovetails with a memo from House Oversight Democrats titled “Mountain of Evidence Shows No Wrongdoing by President Biden."

“Rather than accept these facts, Republicans have resorted to cherry-picking and distorting facts in order to justify continuing this sham investigation aimed at satisfying the demands for retribution of President Trump, who was twice indicted and now faces 91 felony counts,” they wrote in the second memo.
