The White House is preparing a new wave of military aid for Ukraine, an official said on Monday.
"You're going to see another round of support announced from this administration for Ukraine in terms of weapons and capabilities this week," National Security Council coordinator John Kirby told reporters.

The aid will come in at approximately $500 million and include additional Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, Stryker armored personnel carriers, additional Patriot munitions, and ammunition, according to various outlets.
The Ukrainian military has begun its long-awaited counteroffensive in which it's looking to force Russian troops out of the country entirely, though Ukraine has been met with stiff resistance from Russian forces.
"We are focused on providing Ukraine with breaching equipment that will help them with counteroffensive operations," a U.S. official told the Washington Examiner.
Ukraine may have gotten a gift with the apparent rebellion led by Wagner paramilitary group founder Yevgeny Prigozhin against top Russian leaders over the weekend. While the rebellion lasted a day or so, his 25,000 soldiers faced limited resistance in occupying a Russian city near the border with Ukraine and got to within roughly 120 miles of Moscow.
He abruptly ended the march on Saturday as the Belarusian government announced it had brokered an agreement to end the crisis.

While Prigozhin has long railed against the top officials within Russia's Ministry of Defense, accusing them of withholding resources for his forces, his "march for justice" represented an unprecedented threat toward Putin's grip on power. Over the weekend, Prigozhin said that Russian leaders had been lying to the public regarding its rationale for the war in Ukraine.
Prigozhin's forces led Russia's effort for months in the deadliest battle of the 16-month-long war in Ukraine in Bakhmut, though it's unclear whether the Wagner Group will rejoin the war efforts. If it does not, it could present a significant military opportunity for Ukraine.
