The White House declined to comment Wednesday when asked if President Joe Biden recognizes Hunter Biden's 4-year-old daughter as his seventh grandchild.
Hunter Biden settled in June a child support case with Lunden Roberts, an Arkansas woman with whom the president's son had a child before marrying his current wife.

Before the settlement, Roberts had repeatedly stated that the president's son "has never seen nor contacted" the girl, but she reportedly dropped her request to give her daughter the Biden last name in negotiations with the president's son.
Joe Biden and White House officials have also repeatedly stated that the president has six grandchildren, not seven, and the New York Times published an article over the weekend regarding the president's estrangement from the girl.
Asked during Wednesday's press briefing if Biden would "acknowledge this little girl as his granddaughter," White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre declined to comment.
"I don't have anything to share from here," she told reporters.

The president's son is facing several additional legal issues. He is to plead guilty in July to federal tax crimes and struck a separate deal regarding a felony gun possession charge.
