White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre ripped House Oversight Chairman James Comer (R-KY) for taking note of the fact that the late Beau Biden was never prosecuted.

Comer, who is spearheading an investigation involving first son Hunter Biden, made those remarks on The Great America Show with Lou Dobbs podcast earlier this week while lamenting how the Justice Department has been slow to investigate the Biden family. Beau Biden died of cancer in 2015.

HOUSE PASSES BILL TO PUBLISH HOW MUCH BIDEN’S EXECUTIVE ORDERS AFFECT INFLATION

"It's completely inappropriate, and it's ugly — the comments that he made and it says a lot about the chairman, which is not good," Jean-Pierre told reporters Wednesday.

During his appearance on the podcast, Comer contended that U.S. Attorney David Weiss dragged his feet on investigating the Biden family's campaign finance record. He invoked Beau Biden's name when suggesting that Weiss was reticent to investigate the Bidens. Weiss is overseeing a federal inquiry into Hunter Biden.

“In fact, it was Beau Biden, the president’s other son, that was involved in some campaign donations from a person that got indicted, as well as Joe Biden was involved in some of these campaign donations when he was a senator, and then when he ran for president against Obama," Comer said.

Jean-Pierre countered that Republicans should spend more time tending to the business that Americans care about rather than taking partisan swipes.

"Instead of House Republicans focusing on attacking the president and his family, why don't they actually focus on what the American people put them in office to do, which is to deliver for them, which is to actually work with their colleagues, the Democratic colleagues, to actually put forth pieces of legislation or put forth policies that's going to make a difference," she said.
