Jean-Pierre repeated that Biden "has taken historic action" regarding immigration days after the administration expanded its so-called Temporary Protected Status program for Venezuelans, a move advocated for by blue state government officials, including New York City Mayor Eric Adams, as they deal with a surge of immigrants.
"The president has worked very hard to implement a strategy, when it comes to the border, that is humane, safe, and has orderly enforcement," she said.
The press secretary moved on from Fox News reporter Peter Doocy after he asked about the near-record number of illegal border crossings, which have been inching closer to 10,000 a day this week.
