On Memorial Day, the nation remembers those who laid down their lives while protecting the freedoms of the United States.

The Washington Examiner spoke to the owner of a trucking company that looks to employ veterans as they transition from military to civilian life. The company also holds an annual parade in which a retired Army veteran drives their decorated military honors truck.

“Very, very proud, you know, to live in this great free land that we call America,” Cully Frisard, CEO of Frisard’s Transportation, told the Washington Examiner in an exclusive interview.
