The View was forced to cut to break Wednesday after a heated debate on 2024 GOP hopefuls turned personal.
Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin began the discussion by bringing up the recently announced candidacy of former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.

"He's on a one-man wrecking ball mission to take out Donald Trump," she said. "This man stands zero chance of getting the Republican nomination. His unfavorables are historically high. He is literally doing what my party should have done back in 2016 and said, 'I'm going to say everything we know about him. I'm gonna challenge him on the things a lot of candidates are afraid to say.'"

A strategy like that could work, according to Griffin, because Christie's presence in the race makes it difficult for other candidates to avoid a discussion about former President Donald Trump's fitness.
"He's not running to win," she said. "He's on a kamikaze mission."
The notion that the former New Jersey governor is on an altruistic mission to save the GOP was met with immediate backlash from host Sunny Hostin.
"He's a spineless, soulless ... he's not a factor here, in my view," Hostin said. "I think he's pugilistic. I think he wants power. I think he wants so much power that, in 2017, he closed public beaches to all of New Jersey except for his family and his son, so he could have his son's birthday party on the beach."
Griffin asked Hostin what power Christie would gain from entering the race, but Hostin ignored the question and moved on to former Vice President Mike Pence.
"What scares me, Alyssa, is that you are incapable of defending a man that you worked, that you know of, and you said you needed to hear more from him, and I don't need to hear more from Pence."
Hostin continued to ignore Griffin, who attempted to defend herself, and began to bash Pence on a myriad of issues.
"Are you gonna give me a chance to answer?" Griffin asked.

Hostin turned a deaf ear to the question, and it continued to get more personal.
"I kinda feel like I need to break right now," Whoopi Goldberg said. "Maybe we need to figure out how we do this again."
