NextImg:WATCH: Problems onstage as Biden speaks during LSU White House visit

President Joe Biden's speech was derailed Friday after a person standing onstage appeared to have a medical emergency.

The problem happened as Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and first lady Jill Biden were welcoming the Louisiana State University women's basketball team to the White House after their 2023 NCAA national championship win.

WHITE HOUSE NOT BUDGING ON WORK REQUIREMENTS, CAUSING AN IMPASSE IN NEGOTIATIONS

The video started off with the first lady welcoming the LSU Tigers to the White House.

"In this room, I see the absolute best of the best," she said before going on to name various players. Jill Biden went on to commend the team on their hard work and perseverance that got them the acclaimed win.

Vice President Kamala Harris spoke after Jill Biden, and she similarly commended the team.

The issue came when Joe Biden got up to speak.

The president started by addressing the team directly and commending them on their performance. Then, around the 14 minute and 18 second mark, the people standing behind Joe Biden appeared to direct their attention to something other than his remarks.

"Help, help, help, help, help," a person can he heard saying in the video. People then started rushing up to the stage.

The camera cut to a wide angle, and the sign language interpreter seemed to exemplify the confusion of the room.

Biden eventually stopped talking and looked to see what was going on. The crowd converged in one area of the stage, and Joe Biden could be heard trying to calm the crowd as the video cut out.
