The first 2024 presidential debate between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump will begin at 9 p.m. Eastern.

The CNN debate in Atlanta will be moderated by the network’s Dana Bash and Jake Tapper. The 90-minute debate will include two commercial breaks, and there will be no studio audience. Both candidates’ microphones will be muted when it is not their turn to speak. Trump will be given the last word in the debate, decided by a coin toss.
