New York City Mayor Eric Adams issued a warning to Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), telling her to "be on your best behavior."

Adams gave a press conference ahead of former President Donald Trump's arraignment on Tuesday in the city, where his supporters are expected to protest. He warned all "rabble-rousers" to "be on your best behavior," taking particular aim at Greene, who has signaled her intention to protest on Tuesday.

DONALD TRUMP INDICTED: MTG TO PROTEST 'UNPRECEDENTED ABUSE' OF JUSTICE SYSTEM IN NEW YORK

"While there may be some rabble-rousers thinking about coming to our city tomorrow, our message is clear and simple. Control yourselves. Your city is our home, not a playground for your misplaced anger. We are the safest large city in America because we respect the rule of law in New York City. And although we have no specific threats, people like Marjorie Taylor Greene, who is known to spread misinformation and hate speech. As she stated, she is coming to town. While you're in town, be on your best behavior," Adams emphasized. "As always, we will not allow violence or vandalism of any kind, and if one is caught participating in any act of violence, they will be arrested and held accountable."

When asked about Greene again by a reporter, Adams became more dismissive, saying, "People stir stuff up all the time." He expressed confidence in the New York City Police Department and the city, saying they are fully equipped to handle any problems.

"You know, I view this entire moment that we are in right now to one day be in the museum of the city of New York," he answered when asked about the "spectacle" of Trump's expected arrival at the city. "And I think this is another chapter in this experience, that this administration is about to show how we manage not only national problems but global problems, as well as local problems, but be prepared for whatever needs to be done, we built a team."

Greene tweeted several times since the indictment, expressing her intention to protest in the city, reaffirming her plans on Sunday.

"Protesting is a constitutional right and I am going to NY on Tuesday to protest this unprecedented abuse of our justice system and election interference," she tweeted. "I also reject any attempt and anyone who dresses in MAGA but incites violence or commits violence while pretending to be one of us. You are not one of us, you are one of them. We will not live in fear and we will lawfully stand against tyranny and corruption while we show our support for President Trump."
