White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre is holding a press briefing as the war between Israel and Hamas enters its third week.

The press briefing is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. EDT from the White House.

The briefing comes days after President Joe Biden's national address from the Oval Office, where he called for supplemental funding to help Ukraine and Israel in their respective wars.

The war in Israel was sparked by terrorist attacks committed by Hamas against Israeli civilians on Oct. 7. The conflict has resulted in more than 6,000 deaths in Israel and Gaza, according to the Associated Press, along with the deaths of at least 30 Americans.
