White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt is holding a press briefing after President Donald Trump held a phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to discuss a partial ceasefire deal between Kyiv and Russia.
The press conference is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday from the White House.

Following his roughly hour-long phone call with Zelensky Wednesday, Trump characterized the interaction as “very good” and said that the U.S. is “very much on track” to clinch a partial 30-day ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine. Russian President Vladimir Putin agreed to make a temporary deal during a similar phone call with Trump on Tuesday.
