Republican presidential hopeful Vivek Ramaswamy will speak at a conservative convention in Atlanta, Georgia, on Saturday morning, in an effort to set himself apart from his conservative counterparts.
Ramaswamy, a rising star among conservatives, will speak at The Gathering, an event hosted by talk radio host Erick Erickson aimed toward giving GOP candidates an opportunity to share their platforms with Republican voters. The conference comes just days before candidates are slated to appear on stage in Milwaukee for the first GOP primary debate.

The conservative businessman was initially considered a long-shot candidate, but has steadily risen in polls. A recent poll from Emerson College showed Ramaswamy was tied for second with Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), and behind former President Donald Trump.
Ramaswamy's address comes after a small delay due to problems at the Atlanta airport, which saw a backup of planes after one of the runways was closed. He was scheduled to begin his appearance at 11:00 a.m. EST.
