President Donald Trump is speaking at a Saudi investment summit at about 5 p.m. in Miami.

The Future Investment Initiative Institute is a nonprofit organization controlled by the Public Investment Fund, Saudi Arabia’s main sovereign wealth fund. The institute has moved beyond holding its annual conference in Riyadh and now holds summits in countries around the globe “designed as engines of actionable change.”

“FII PRIORITY Summits pioneer solutions that transcend industries and geographies,” the FII Institute’s website reads. “By convening thought leaders, investors, and policymakers, the Summits transform today’s challenges into tomorrow’s breakthroughs, setting the stage for sustainable growth and unparalleled value creation.”

Some of the topics due to be discussed at the summit include “rising costs of living, systemic challenges in healthcare, security, and education.”

Under Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, Saudi Arabia has looked to change its image into a forward-looking leader in business and technological innovation. Trump has supported the new turn in his first and second administrations, often drawing criticism.

Trump is speaking after a series of dramatic changes in the Russia-Ukraine war, which has soured relations with Ukraine and Western European countries after Trump made a series of peace overtures to Russia.
