The hearing comes just a day after Jeffrey Goldberg, editor-in-chief of the Atlantic, revealed that he was included in a group chat on the app Signal, in which top Trump officials including national security advisor Mike Waltz and Gabbard shared sensitive plans of bombing Houthi targets in Yemen.
The hearing was already planned before the leak, coinciding with the annual threat assessment released by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.
