President-elect Donald Trump is attending SpaceX’s launch of its Super Heavy Starship, a rocket Elon Musk deemed key for “multi-planetary” space travel, for its sixth test flight from Boca Chica, Texas, at 5 p.m. ET.
On Tuesday’s flight, SpaceX engineers are still seeking to push the rocket out of the lower atmosphere on a suborbital flight to then reenter over the Indian Ocean. Like the previous flight, the goal is for the Super Heavy booster to return back to the launch pad.

However, during this test flight, the rocket’s engines will be restarted in space to show its ability to perform critical maneuvers and future de-orbit burns.
Currently, SpaceX is building a variant of the Starship to transport astronauts to and from the moon for NASA by 2026 or 2027.
