State Department spokesman Matthew Miller is holding a press briefing Monday, following news that leaders from North Korea and Russia plan to meet this week.
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, and Russian President Vladimir Putin, are expected to discuss a possible arms deal to help Russia in its war against Ukraine. In exchange, Russia would give North Korea a much-needed economic and political lifeline, according to United States officials.

The U.S. has been the biggest financial support for Ukraine, spending billions of dollars in military support to aid the country.
The State Department briefing also coincided with the 22nd anniversary of 9/11, when terrorists crashed two planes into the World Trade Center in New York City, and another into the Pentagon. A fourth plane crashed into an open field in Somerset County, Pennsylvania, killing all passengers and crew members on board.
