The Senate Finance Committee is voting at 10 a.m. on whether or not to move forward with Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s confirmation as Health and Human Services secretary.
If approved, Kennedy will move on to the entire Senate for a final confirmation vote.
The Finance Committee consists of 14 Republicans and 13 Democrats. If every Democrat votes against Kennedy, then it will be crucial for him to receive yes votes from every Republican.

Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-LA) remains uncertain on whether or not he will vote for Kennedy’s confirmation.
“Does a 70-year-old man, 71-year-old man who spent decades criticizing vaccines, and who’s financially invested in finding fault with vaccines — can he change his attitudes and approach now that he’ll have the most important position influencing vaccine policy in the United States?” Cassidy asked Kennedy during a hearing. “I’ve got to figure that out for my vote.”
