Brown are testifying before the Senate Appropriations Committee about the Defense Department‘s fiscal 2025 budget requests. They may also face questioning about the latest updates on the Israel-Hamas war, since Israel launched their operation in Rafah.

The hearing is expected to begin at 10:00 a.m. EDT from Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.

The Defense Department’s fiscal 2025 request is a 1% increase for an $849.8 billion request in funds for the coming year. Congress has through the end of September to pass a fiscal 2025 budget to avoid a government shutdown.
