Garland has been called by House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) to provide documents relating to investigations into Biden and answers as to why a special counsel has not been appointed for the case. The demand came the same day Senate Intelligence Committee members Sens. Mark Warner (D-VA) and Marco Rubio (R-FL) said a briefing the Justice Department gave to the Gang of Eight on classified document investigations "left much to be desired."
