


The Maine Department of Public Safety will give an update at Lewiston at City Hall Friday morning as authorities continue to search for the suspect of a mass shooting on Wednesday evening. The tragedy marks the deadliest mass shooting of 2023.
A manhunt has been underway for days for Robert Card, the suspect of the Lewiston mass shooting that left at least 18 dead and 13 injured, according to authorities.

An arrest warrant was issued for 40-year-old Card, charging him with eight counts of murder which officials say will rise, following shootings the two locations — Schemengees Bar and Grille and Sparetime Recreation, a bowling alley.

Card is still at large and shelter-in-place orders have been issued for Lewiston, Lisbon, and Bowdoin. The press conference will start at 10 a.m. Eastern Time.
