The press conference in Brussels, Belgium, comes amid the war in Ukraine and conflict in Israel following a terrorist attack by Hamas over the weekend.

The conflict, which started with terrorist attacks by Hamas, has killed at least 1,800 people in Israel and Gaza, according to the Associated Press. Biden said in remarks on Tuesday that at least 14 Americans are among the dead in Israel.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken is traveling to Israel on Wednesday to "engage with our Israeli partners directly about the situation on the ground."
