


White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre is holding a Tuesday news briefing after President Joe Biden delivered an address on expanding access to mental health care.
Jean-Pierre is set to start the briefing at 3:30 p.m. from the White House.

Earlier on Tuesday, Biden signed a proclamation to establish three national monument sites in memory of Emmett Till and his mother, Mamie Till-Mobley, in Illinois and Mississippi.

Till was a 14-year-old black teenager who was shot and killed by a group of white men in Mississippi for allegedly flirting with a white woman, Carolyn Bryant Donham, in 1955. Following his death, Till-Mobley raised awareness during the civil rights movement about the way her son was killed so that a similar incident would never happen again.
