


Vice President Kamala Harris will meet with civil rights leaders and consumer protection experts on Wednesday to discuss the societal impact of artificial intelligence.
The vice president is expected to discuss the Biden administration's broader plans to regulate the budding field of AI as the White House and Congress ramp up efforts to tackle national security concerns and other aspects of the fast-moving technology.

Harris will speak after the White House briefed senators on Tuesday in the first-ever classified meeting about artificial intelligence, with the Department of Defense and the intelligence community.
