Vice President Kamala Harris is speaking about abortion at a campaign event in Florida, as a six week abortion ban goes into effect in the Sunshine State.

Harris is expected to speak at 2:45 p.m. EDT from Jacksonville, Florida.

Voters in the Sunshine State will get decide on a ballot measure in November that could enshrine abortion into the state’s constitution, but it would need 60% of the vote to pass. President Joe Biden and Vice President Harris’s campaign has said they intend to make a play for Florida, despite the state making a sharp right shift in recent elections.
