Jones was one of the "Tennessee Three" lawmakers who interrupted proceedings in the state House chamber in March by using a megaphone to call for gun control laws and disregarding rules on decorum, among other House rules. He and fellow Democratic state Rep. Justin Pearson were expelled for their actions, while the other member of the "Tennessee Three," Democratic state Rep. Gloria Johnson, survived by one vote. The two expelled members were eventually reelected to their seats.
The vice president's "Fight for Our Freedoms" tour across colleges has seen her travel to Nevada, Florida, Pennsylvania, and Georgia.
