President Joe Biden will deliver remarks at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in San Francisco, California, on Thursday, where he is meeting Chinese leader Xi Jinping.
The president is expected to speak on the restart of military-to-military communications between the United States and China, which Beijing cut off more than a year ago in protest of then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's (D-CA) trip to Taiwan. The leaders also came together on a deal to work together to curb the fentanyl crisis in the U.S.
