President Joe Biden will deliver a speech on Thursday celebrating conservation efforts enacted by the Biden-Harris administration.

Biden will speak from the Rose Garden and discuss the strides his administration has made to improve and protect the environment.

His remarks will come over a month after the president used his veto power for the second time to block legislation that would have revised the definition of "Waters of the United States" under the Clean Water Act. The House failed to override that veto on April 18.

A celebration of conservation efforts could also include Biden celebrating the effects of the Inflation Reduction Act, a law that made sweeping investments in several areas, including programs to combat climate change and protect the environment.

The law is a target for House Republicans as congressional leadership navigates debt ceiling negotiations, but Biden has already drawn the line and will not approve a spending bill that eliminates the Inflation Reduction Act's provisions.

Biden's speech will begin at 4 p.m. EDT on Thursday.
