A funeral service is being held for former President Jimmy Carter at the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C., as the country bids a final farewell to the 39th president.
The service for Carter is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
Carter died at 100 years old late last month, after being in hospice care for nearly two years. He served as president from 1977 until 1981, losing his reelection bid in 1980 to Ronald Regan.
