Former President Donald Trump is leaving the Trump National Doral Miami to head to the Wilkie D. Ferguson, Jr. U.S. Courthouse in Miami, Florida for his arraignment on federal charges related to his alleged mishandling of classified documents this afternoon.

Trump was indicted last week by a grand jury in the case being investigated by special counsel Jack Smith, who is also investigating the former president's alleged role in the Capitol riot on Jan. 6, 2021.

Trump is the first current or former president to be federally indicted, after he became the first former or current president to be indicted for a crime in Manhattan in March.
