The House Oversight Committee is holding its first hearing on the impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden at 10 a.m. Eastern time.
The hearing, titled “The Basis for an Impeachment Inquiry of President Joseph R. Biden, Jr.,” is being conducted by the House Oversight Committee, and it will be focused on “constitutional and legal questions” related to allegations Biden was improperly involved in his son Hunter Biden’s business dealings, a committee aide told the Washington Examiner.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) announced an official impeachment inquiry into Biden on grounds of corruption after several months of urging from conservative members of Congress. Some Republicans in swing states urged against it because they fear it may hurt their reelection chances.
If House Republicans go through with impeachment, Biden would be the fourth president in United States history to be impeached.
