The <a href="https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/section/news/house/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">House</a> Homeland Security Committee will hold a hearing at 10 a.m. on the assassination attempt of former President <a href="https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/tag/donald-trump/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">Donald Trump</a>.

The meeting is part of a series of investigations in <a href="https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/tag/congress/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">Congress</a> into the July 13 assassination attempt in which a gunman shot at the former president, grazing his ear and killing one bystander.

The committee is expected to call two witnesses: Col. Christopher L. Paris, commissioner of the Pennsylvania State Police, and Patrick Yoes, national president of the Fraternal Order of Police.
