


The House select committee on China is holding its first prime-time hearing Tuesday as it seeks to outline the threat China's government poses to the United States.
CHINA IN THE SPOTLIGHT: HOUSE TO HEAR IN PRIME TIME ABOUT 'COMMUNIST PARTY'S THREAT TO AMERICA'
The hearing is titled “The Chinese Communist Party’s Threat to America," and it will feature four witnesses testifying before the bipartisan committee.
The witnesses include former Trump administration national security officials Matt Pottinger and H.R. McMaster, along with Chinese human rights advocate Tong Yi and Alliance for American Manufacturing President Scott Paul.

The China committee was one of several select committees created under the new Republican-majority House, with this one being created after a 365-65 vote last month. The chairman of the committee is Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-WI) ,and the ranking member is Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-IL).
