


Chairman Mark E. Green (R-TN) will hold a committee hearing Wednesday with testimony from the Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, reviewing the Biden administration’s Fiscal Year 2024 budget proposal.

“In its woefully inadequate budget request, the Biden administration is finally saying the quiet part out loud. During a historic crisis at our nation’s borders, the Biden administration is not offering any meaningful solutions to curb the surge of illegal aliens, known gotaways, or illicit drugs, like fentanyl, from flooding across our borders,” Chairman Green said in an announcement.

Chairman Green stated the proposed budget failed to “prioritize our frontline Transportation Security Administration (TSA) personnel over highly paid headquarters bureaucrats,” and does not expand on newly-advanced cybersecurity programs at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency.
The hearing is set for 10:00 a.m. ET at the Cannon House Office Building.
