Vice President <a href="https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/tag/kamala-harris/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">Kamala Harris</a> will appear with TV icon <a href="https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/tag/oprah-winfrey/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="Oprah Winfrey">Oprah Winfrey</a> at a campaign event in a Detroit, <a href="https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/tag/michigan/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="">Michigan</a>, suburb Thursday at 8 p.m. ET.


<p>Harris and Winfrey will headline a virtual event called Unite for America in collaboration with the Win With Black Women organization. There will be a small in-person studio audience.</p>

<p>“Decency and respect are on the ballot in 2024, and just plain common sense,” Winfrey said.</p>
<p>Jotaka Eaddy, founder of Win With Black Women, and Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D-MI) will also attend. Earlier in Harris’s campaign, Win With Black Women spearheaded a Zoom call with more than 40,000 black women to support her candidacy.</p>
