Vice President Kamala Harris and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky are delivering remarks during a joint appearance at a White House press briefing.
The two leaders are speaking to members of the media Thursday afternoon at approximately 3:05 p.m. ET. Their appearance comes as Zelensky is in the country to lobby political leaders to support Ukraine’s war against Russia. Over the weekend, the Ukrainian president visited a Pennsylvania factory tasked with producing military supplies for his country.

“The leaders will discuss the state of the war between Russia and Ukraine, including Ukraine’s strategic planning and U.S. support for Ukraine in its defense against Russian aggression,” White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said in a statement. “The president and vice president will emphasize their unshakeable commitment to stand with Ukraine until it prevails in this war.”
Throughout the course of the Ukrainian conflict, which started in 2022, the Biden administration has been instrumental in providing resources to Ukraine, giving billions in military aid to Zelensky. On Thursday, the White House announced it would send roughly another $8 billion to Ukraine and expand the U.S. training of Ukranian fighter pilots.
